TimberTech Prime Plus Composite Deck Kit and Aluminum Rail
- Minimum 12" Dia. x 36" deep piers. Certain pier locations may be required to be sized larger based on tributary loads, and/or roof or Pergola loads.
- Minimum 6"x6" Support posts to be used for deck support. Fastened to piers using Post Base anchors & Wedge bolt anchors.
- Beam to Frame installation of Rim Joist, unless otherwise notated.
- Minimum 2"x10" Premium #1 Grade Joist framing up to a span of 16ft, spacing to be 12" O.C., fastened using Simpson Strong Tie joist hangers and 10D Galvanized nails/screws.
- Double rim joist to be used around perimeter of deck, or any load bearing outside edge. (Stair stringer attachments.)
- Ledger attachment to house, will be fastened to existing home rim board using 5" Ledger Lock Galvanized Ledger Locks. Lags will be spaced 12" O.C. top & bottom, approx. 2"-3" from edge of Ledger board.
- For all vertical siding house applications, Deck-to-Wall spacers will be used between the house and Ledger board to allow water to drain and not trap moisture to house.
- Flat blocking must be added for all aluminum or steel top mount post applications.
- All decking to be installed will be 5/4" thick. (approx. 1 inch)
- Hidden fastening system to be used (Camo Edge Clips) for all maintenance free decking. (Wood decking to be face screwed)
- All fascia will be will face screwed and corners to be mitered.
